The RF/Lens wireless camera detector LDRF-DTI is a tool to help you locate any devices that transmits a digital wireless signal or a wired hidden camera. This unit has 5 channel detection's for different kinds of protocols at a distance of 32’. This device will detect WIFI, GSM, Bluetooth, VHF, UHF signals at a frequency range between 1 MHz~6500 MHz.The unit offers four modes when it has detected a signal; silent, beeping, visual and vibration. This unit also uses IR filtered lens to located wired hidden cameras. The laser detecting range for the wired hidden cameras is between 1-65’. The smaller the camera lens the closer you will have to be to it. This unit runs off of a built in rechargeable battery; which provides a battery life between 6-15 hours (varies on usage).
GSM means "Global System for Mobile communications", and it is the standard currently in use more or less worldwide. In the U.S., the major providers using this standard are T-Mobile and AT&T Wireless. VHF is Very High Frequency and UHF is Ultra High Frequency which describe distinct parts of the electromagnetic waveband used for radio and television broadcasts. The main difference between them is that UHF operates on much higher frequencies than VHF. If you're planning to buy a TV antenna, you'll usually need equipment that works on both UHF and VHF wavebands to view all locally available over-the-air digital-television stations.
This device cannot differentiate bugs that send wireless signals from normal everyday household items such as, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is recommended that you power down all your devices that send signals to help avoid false positives.
